So, if you are one of my one readers, you may have noticed that I haven’t posted in a little while. Unfortunately in my excitement to start running/walking/exercising again, I went all in. By all in, I mean I pulled my Achilles tendon and can barely walk, much less start week two of the Couch to 5K program. I have done this before. I get very pumped up about exercising, only to hurt myself by starting with too much after too long. This Christmas, I’d like a little patience. Thanks, Santa.
On another note, I’m struggling with cigarettes. I lean on them during times of stress, and unfortunately the past few weeks have been quite stressful. I have gotten a prescription to help me get off them, but I’m trying to do it without the pills first. I know from experience that there isn’t a magic pill for anything.
When I’m able to walk again, I’ll start week 2. Or maybe I’ll just start walking and build up to it. Hmm, that might be where I need to start.
In the meantime, it’s almost Christmas, which means super tempting food. I’ll be practicing restraint, and hopefully you’ll see me walking my dogs while I’m off work.
