Yep, here I am. 3 months after my last post, which means it was 3 months since I got on the treadmill. I did do a FIRM video once in there and went for 1 walk outside.
I have continued to make excuses for myself in this blog. I know that. And I’ve got one more. My dog died on March 23. It has been crippling. She was my sweet Daisy, and only now, 2 months after her death, am I able to write anything about her. I searched for some unrelated photos yesterday and came across so many of her that I just couldn’t take it anymore. It’s time to get out of the funk I’ve been in.
Not so luckily, my husband is a hypochondriac. Maddening, I tell you. But, one good thing about his most recent illness (Scarlet Fever, he says) is that he wants to start eating better. This is great news as I am a sucker for peer pressure (how do you think I started smoking all those years ago?). We can do this together.
My best friend, the pink-haired lady I’ve mentioned on this blog, is a huge proponent of the paleo and/or primal diet. She is one of the smartest people I know and has researched it, and to me it makes sense. With her support and my husband’s agreement, we can do it.
Pay day is Thursday, so I’m going to spend all day Wednesday (well, most of the day at least) creating a month-long menu which I’ll buy in two parts (maybe 3) over the next 30 days. 30 days. That’s easy enough, right?
Now that a huge conference that I coordinated for months is over and I’m finally coming out of mourning, I think I can do a small goal like 30 days of Paleo. Let’s do this.
